The double helix press is a continuous double helix press device. It is used for the solid-liquid separation of materials in the macroscopic world that contain certain fibers or are sticky. This includes the extraction of juice from fermented grape pomace, ginger, spinach, rubber, Chinese herbal medicines, winter jujubes, and other fruits and vegetables with certain fibers. It is also used for the continuous juicing of sea buckthorn fruits that have been pruned or contain a small number of branches. The sieve holes are specially manufactured according to the size of the sea buckthorn berries.
Working principle and structure of the double helix press:
The working process of this double helix press is as follows: The conveying screw pushes the material entering the feed box towards the pressing screw. Due to the reduced pitch and increased diameter of the pressing screw, and under the resistance from the sieve walls and conical body, the liquid components (juice) contained in the material are squeezed out. The squeezed liquid flows out through the sieve holes and accumulates in the juice receiving bucket. The pressed fruit residue is discharged from the machine through the space between the end of the sieve cylinder and the conical body. The rear part of the conical body is equipped with a spring. By adjusting the pre-tension and position of the spring, the resistance during discharge and the size of the residue outlet can be changed, thereby regulating the dryness or wetness of the pressed material. The 5, 10, and 20 ton/hour presses feature double screw rotation in opposite directions, providing a strong and uniform pressing force on the material. The conical body for discharging the residue is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder, and adjusting the hydraulic pressure can change the pressure applied to the material, thereby adjusting the juice extraction rate. This machine can also be used for the solid-liquid separation of other materials, and the effectiveness varies depending on the quality of the material.
