Introduction:
Chinese Name:Tol oil fatty acids
English Name:Tall Oil Fatty Acid
CAS Number:61790-12-3
Density:0.89-0.91
Product Features:
Emulsion additive. Possesses anti-rust, lubrication, wetting, and cleaning properties; can improve the surface smoothness of workpieces. Reduces the adhesion of debris, thereby extending the life of cutting tools. Can be added to emulsions, semi-synthetic, and fully synthetic formulations. Suitable for processing alloys such as copper and aluminum.
Materialized Properties:
Appearance:Light yellow (light yellow translucent when diluted with 5% water)
Specific Gravity:0.95-1.1
Neutralization Value:meqKOH/g ≤ 28
pH Value:5% aqueous solution: 5-7
Refraction:5% aqueous solution: 4.4-5.2
Components:The main components of Tol oil fatty acids are oleic acid and linoleic acid. They can be used as raw materials for dimeric acids, paints, surfactants, and other applications, as well as in mineral processing agents.

Semi-synthetic solution: 5-10%
Synthetic Liquid: 10-20%
Nature:
The main components are a mixture of oleic acid, linoleic acid, and their isomers. It is insoluble in water but soluble in ethanol. It can react with bases. It can also undergo alkylation and amination reactions. The quality of tolu oil fatty acids is primarily determined by the amount of rosinic acid and non-saponifiable substances it contains, as well as color and color stability.
Purpose:
Emulsion additive. Possesses anti-rust, lubrication, wetting, and cleaning properties; can improve the surface finish of workpieces. Reduces the adhesion of debris, thereby extending the life of cutting tools. Can be added to emulsions, semi-synthetic, and fully synthetic formulations. Suitable for processing alloys such as copper and aluminum.
Tol oil is used in metalworking fluids for emulsions and microemulsions. As an auxiliary emulsifier, it can reduce the amount of main emulsifiers required. Compared to commonly used oleic acid, it has a faster emulsification speed, superior lubricity, better cleaning effects, and a certain anti-foaming property. It also has a wide range of adaptability to hard water and exhibits good resistance to acid deterioration.
